User Experience (UX) refers to the overall satisfaction and experience that users have when engaging with products, services, or systems.
UX design seeks to meet users’ needs in terms of needs analysis, expectation setting, and behavior change while at the same time increasing usability, accessibility, and emotional elements of user journeys. UX designers conduct user research, create personas for targeted user groups and design user flows that best meet users’ expectations, ultimately leading to higher user retention, increased customer loyalty, and positive word-of-mouth referrals. A well-designed UX can lead to higher user retention, increased customer loyalty as well as increased word-of-mouth referrals from existing customers and new customer acquisition through improved UX.
