A Product Roadmap is a strategic planning document that details the vision, goals, timeline, and expected outcome for developing or improving a product or service.
It offers a high-level overview of how a product will develop over time – such as planned features, enhancements, and milestones – while aligning development teams, stakeholders, and other departments on shared objectives for its creation and enhancement. Over time the roadmap changes as the product does so serving as an information channel keeping all parties updated about the future trajectory of development and enhancement plans.
